The best eFoil for heavy riders
Bigger riders fly eFoils every day. The trick is choosing a board with enough volume and a wing with enough lift. Here is how to pick a SiFly that gets you up easily and keeps you there.

What actually matters when you are heavier
Two things decide how an eFoil handles extra weight:
- Board volume. Measured in liters, volume is how much the board floats before it lifts off. More volume means a steadier board while you lie, kneel, and stand, and an easier start. For heavier riders, more volume is almost always the right call.
- Front wing size. The wing does the lifting once you are moving. A larger wing lifts at a lower speed and feels calmer underfoot. A smaller wing needs more speed before it flies.
The motor and battery are the same across every SiFly set, so the choice comes down to board and wing.

Start on the biggest, most stable wing. In the SiFly range that is the Cruiser 1900, which lifts early and flies slow for easy take-offs. Once you are flying comfortably, the Cruiser 1300 gives you more range and quicker turns. Our wing guide compares all six.
Tips for an easier first flight
- Take your time on your knees. Get comfortable with the throttle before you stand.
- Stand at a steady speed, then add a little more. Heavier riders usually need a touch more speed before the foil lifts. That is normal.
- Keep your weight centered. Small shifts forward and back control your height; big ones end the flight.
